Biography
Deirdre is an accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative and trauma-informed, tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Deirdre provides an integrative approach, drawing on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic and Humanistic Psychotherapy. Offering therapy to adults experiencing issues such as anxiety, anger management, panic attacks, depression, grief, loss, bereavement, addiction, trauma, self-esteem, work-related stress, self-harm, PTSD and C-PTSD. Deirdre has expertise in working with childhood trauma, abuse, complex bereavement and those in addiction recovery or navigating codependency.
Deirdre has a clinical background working across public and community health sectors, including the National Counselling Service and the National Drug Treatment Centre. In addition, provides supervision to trainee therapists and experienced clinicians.
