Adolescents Therapy

Adolescence is a time of intense transition. Profound changes are occurring across all areas of development – physical, social, emotional, cognitive and neurobiological. These changes are often accompanied by heightened emotion.

It is common for young people to struggle with these changes, leading to feelings of confusion, frustration, loneliness, anger, sadness, shame and anxiety.

How we can help

Addressing any emerging mental health concerns during this time is essential for the young person to learn how to effectively manage life stressors, and transition smoothly into adulthood.

For kids and teens, our adolescent therapists use a variety of evidence-based modalities to help teenagers feel safer and more comfortable within themselves while they navigate the road to maturity. Mind and Wellness offers support in the following areas:

Support for the whole family

A family is a psychological system. When one person is struggling it can have knock-on effects. While adolescence can be extremely challenging for teenagers, it can also have an impact on other family members. Our adolescents therapy services are designed to address the concerns of the whole family.
