Biography

Rosalind is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist; she trained in the Institute of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (IICP). She has full indemnity insurance and adheres to the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) code of ethics. She undertakes continuing professional development courses each year and places importance on maintaining her own self-care.
Being trained as an integrative counsellor allows Rosalind to draw on different modalities to find an approach that best fits the individual client and their circumstances. The process of therapy is collaborative and will be tailored to the clients’ preferences and personal goals.
Rosalind places great importance on the therapeutic relationship created and aims to provide a space that is caring, free from judgment, where the client can truly be themselves.
Rosalind has always had a passion for working with people and has a wide range of experience working in the social care sector. This includes supporting the elderly with dementia, stroke recovery and during end-of-life palliative of care. Rosalind has worked in residential care settings for teenagers experiencing severe social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, including a specialised area for problematic sexualised behaviour. She also has experience supporting children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual disabilities.
