Luba O’Neill
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Biography
After twenty years in the Multinational industry, Luba spent number of years re-educating herself in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. Working with people as a Psychotherapist was always a dream and when the opportunity presented itself Luba wholeheartedly embraced it and now works a Counselling field. Luba’s approach in therapy although theoretically integrated and practically multifaceted is also simple – she holds a firm belief that each person possesses the inner capability to address and solve their issues and problems. Luba facilitates a supportive and non-judgemental space for this to unfold.
Working with adults, parents and young people looks for diplomacy and directiveness. Consequently, Luba is met with a diverse range of issues such as mental and physical abuse, stress, depression, self-esteem, anxiety, self-regulation, loss of employment and bereavement.
Besides Luba specialises in Short Term Solution Focused Therapy. This is achieved by working collaboratively with the Client and establishing goals by involving thoughts and behaviour patterns change, which results in a Client taking control of their life.
In addition Luba is trained in NVR – Non Violent Response to child to parent violence. Child to parent violence is an abuse of power through which children & young people aged 18 years of age and younger coerces, controls/dominates others in the family.
Luba offers Counselling in fluent Russian.
